Diploma of Equine Podiotherapy
Training hoofcare specialists for the 21st century
The Australian College of Equine Podiotherapy is a private college dedicated to the ongoing education of professional equine hoof therapists.
This exclusive course is the only Diploma of its kind in Australia delivering the stand alone modality of functional equine hoof care.
The curriculum is based on years of “in the field” experience by hoof care industry professionals in collaboration with the findings of veterinarians and leading research scientists who have been at the forefront of rehabilitative hoof care practices and education, both in Australia and overseas.
The college embraces an holistic approach aimed at enhancing equine biomechanics by applying hoof care methods that promote lifelong soundness.
How long is the Diploma Course?
The course is designed to be completed in one year. The course is delivered in six intensive blocks of face-to-face lectures and practicals. However, the course is flexible and can be completed in 1, 2 or 3 years. This allows for individual schedules and “Life Happens” situations. Blocks must be completed in order. Consequently, when taking into consideration the case study portfolio, full qualification can be obtained in 1½ – 4 years.
