As this handle is rubber and not plastic it is shatter resistant and longer lasting. The rubber gives it a much softer grip and also helps prevent concussion injuries. The same ergonomic shape we designed makes it a good fit in most hands and the symmetry makes it easy to flip. The handle fits a large range of rasps and is interchangeable. The handle is slightly heavier which makes it better weighted for balanced rasp handling.
