Training hoofcare specialists for the 21st century

The Australian College of Equine Podiotherapy is a private college and our Diploma Course has recently achieved National Accreditation. This is the only Nationally Accredited Diploma Course of its kind in Australia. The college is dedicated to the ongoing education of professional hoofcare providers. The Diploma content is based on years of “in the field” experience by professionals, along with the findings of veterinarians and leading research scientists who have been at the forefront of rehabilitative hoofcare practices and education, both in Australia and the United States. Its principles are aimed at enhancing equine biomechanics by applying hoof care methods that promote lifelong soundness.

How long is the Diploma Course?

The course is part time and is designed to be completed in two years. In the first year the course is delivered in four blocks of 6 days of face to face lectures and practicals, complimented by distance learning modules. Students then have an additional 12 months to complete a series of case studies to attain their Diploma.
